1st Workshop on Code Quality and Security (CQS 2021)

Programming is a manual process. While there are specific guidelines for software analysis, modelling, and even team management, the few information available on code quality and security is ignored by most developers. In this workshop we will deal with this problem in different ways, answering to the following questions:

1)      Code Standards: how code should be written, what idioms to use, how to comment and how to document code. What standards are available, and what tools can be used to perform validation?

2)      Code Security: the different aspects a developer needs to take attention to when developing an application in order to make it secure. What tools are available to check for possible implementation flaws?

3)      Code Quality: how to guarantee the software does what it is intended to? How to test software? What test frameworks and approaches are available?

4)      Code Certification: what different types of certification is available for applications? What means to certify an application? What levels of certification are available? What applications can be used in Health industry?

5)       Code organization: how to structure code? modules, libraries, components? How to deploy? How to maintain code? Containers and dockers.
